Ring Sizing Guide

I recommend a visit to a jewelry store to have your finger sized. Although a trip to a store isn’t always possible. Here are three other options to help determine your size, or the size of someone else’s finger.

1. Internal Diameter Measurement Method

Choose an existing ring and using a ruler with millimeter increments, measure the widest open space inside the ring. Make note, and refer to the sizing chart below. Then add the corresponding size to your order.

Internal Diameter (mm) US / CANADA Size

14 3

15 4

15.5 5

16.5 6

17 6.5

17.5 7

18 8

19 9

20 10

20.5 11

21.5 12

22 13

2. Ring Sizer Method

Order a personal Ring Sizer and try on different sizes to determine the best size for you.

3. Graph Paper and Pen Method

You will need: Pen or pencil. A ruler with millimeter increments. A strip of paper (or graph paper) 1/4’’ - .5’’ in width.

  • Mark on your strip of paper each 5mm increments. (10mm…15mm…20mm…25mm…etc)

  • Hold one end of the strip snugly against your finger with your palm up.

  • Gently wrap the paper around your finger holding it snug, until it overlaps the other edge of paper.

  • Measure and make note of the millimeter to the closest .5 increment. (55mm, or 60.5mm, or 64mm..etc)

4. Ring Sizer Method

A ring sizer is a plastic gauge shaped like many rings to help you size your own finger, easily finding the correct size that feels right to you. Feel free to order a ring sizer through the link here!

Cleaning Guide

1. Using a 50/50 ratio of baking soda and cold water on a toothbrush or soft, preferably cotton cloth - rub with light pressure to gently remove tarnish.

2. If your jewelry is heavily tarnished, add a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar to the above mixture.

3. Toothpaste can also be used as a baking soda alternative in a 50/50 ratio to cold water.

4. Use a polishing cloth. It is recommended to use a cloth designed for the material you are polishing. You can order my preferred cloth here:

What If My Ears Are Gauged?

No problem! If you would like a specific gauge size, please reach out through a custom order.

Are Your Earrings Hypoallergenic?

Absolutely! Toothmark Metals always uses solid gold, gold-fill*, or silver for earwires (the part that goes through the pierced, or gauged earlobe.) This ensures the material is hypoallergenic.

If you do ever experience an issue with my earrings, please don’t hesitate to contact me for advice and information.

*gold-fill is solid metal. A brass is layered on the exterior with 5% by weight of solid 14k or 12k gold.

Can You Do Repairs?

Currently, I only perform repairs on items that are made in-house*

It is okay if something happens to your jewelry item. Please respond directly to me for any repairs that you need performed. This typically can be done for a low cost. A quote will be provided prior to the repair service. Repairs can include damaged stones, settings, bails, clasps as well as broken / bent earwires etc.
